Mayoral Time Study Summer Associate

Project Description:

How do mayors and their schedulers “triage” competing commitments? This is the animating question of a new time-study research project being led by Professor Matthew Lee. The Summer Associate will play a key role in advancing this research. Specifically, we are looking for a highly motivated and capable project manager during a crucial period of data collection.

 

Tasks and Deliverables:
  • Schedule meetings with mayors and executive staff.
  • Develop and manage interview guides.
  • Participate in and transcribe interviews.
  • Liaise with city staff to transfer data.
  • Manage and analyze data.

 

Desired Qualifications and Experience:
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience using Excel to organize and analyze data
  • Experience with interview transcription (preferred)

 

Compensation: $21-$25/hour
