About

Chahat Shah has over 13 years of experience in urban development and a passion for leveraging technology in creating sustainable, resilient, and inclusive cities.

In his previous roles, both within government and as a government advisor, he has been instrumental in shaping policies and implementing projects that build more sustainable and equitable urban environments. His work in India has directly improved the lives of over 250,000 families through advancements in affordable housing, waste management, SMART City development, and road safety across more than 200 cities.

Chahat holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a master’s degree in infrastructure engineering and management, and is a chartered engineer (equivalent to P.Eng). Chahat is currently a Mason Fellow pursuing a mid-career Master in Public Administration at the Harvard Kennedy School.
