The Bloomberg Center for Cities will consider funding requests from recognized Harvard student led organizations. Applications must be submitted by a primary applicant who is a full-time, enrolled Harvard undergraduate, graduate, or professional studies student. All members of the student organization and program team must be Harvard students.

The Center will prioritize support for programs or events that align with one or more of the Center’s mission and programmatic focus areas including:

1. Strengthening cities and city leaders
2. Developing future generations of city leaders and fostering interest in city leadership
3. Advancing the field of city leadership through the sharing research, practice and lived experiences of city leaders

Before submitting a funding application, applicants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the Bloomberg Center for Cities at Harvard University, its mission, its programs and activities, and its impact.

Applications for funding open once per semester. Spring 2026 submissions are due by February 13, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. EST.
