About

Stacy Richardson is the Senior Director for Collaborations at the Bloomberg Center for Cities at Harvard University. In this role, Stacy leads the planning, development, oversight, and execution of the center-wide strategy for developing partnerships and an energized community across Harvard University and beyond.

Stacy has over a decade of experience working with and for local governments. Before joining the Bloomberg Center for Cities, Stacy served as the Chief of Staff at the National League of Cities. She led a comprehensive restructuring, launched new programs, and advised the CEO on strategic issues. Previously, Stacy served as the Chief of Staff to Mayor Andy Berke in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In this role, Stacy led several signature projects, including leading the civilian response to a domestic terror attack, launching an initiative to end homelessness among veterans, and leading a comprehensive re-organization of the city government.

During her tenure in local government, Stacy participated in the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative, the Harvard Young American Leaders Program, and was a Marshall Memorial Fellow. Stacy holds a master’s degree in public administration from the Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California.
