Maria Daniels is senior director of communications for the Bloomberg Center for Cities at Harvard University. She has built her expertise in nonprofit communications at Boston-area institutions including the Boston Athenæum; Harvard and Tufts Universities, working for the groundbreaking Perseus Project; WGBH Boston, directing new media for the award-winning PBS history series, “American Experience”; and Brigham and Women’s Hospital—and at advocacy nonprofits, including a foundation established by Swanee Hunt, founder of the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School.
Maria brings deep experience in strategy, brand development, and multi-channel engagement campaigns. A student of history (Bachelor of Arts, Brown University) and photography (Master of Fine Arts, School of the Museum of Fine Arts), she lives in Medford, Massachusetts with her family and a dog named Bear.
