About

Andrés Felipe Machado is a mid-career Master in Public Administration candidate at Harvard Kennedy School and a Gleitsman Fellow at the Center for Public Leadership. A first-generation college graduate from Colombia, he is committed to expanding educational opportunity through public service. He began his career as a college access counselor at Grace Place for Children and Families in Florida, mentoring 100+ first-generation Latino students, many of whom went on to secure full college scholarships.

Previously, Andrés served as vice consul at the British Consulate-General in Miami, where he led and supported trade missions and worked closely with mayors and governors to strengthen U.K.-U.S. trade and broader bilateral partnerships across the United States.

He has also worked at the Global Reporting Initiative, building strategic relationships with companies, investors, and government officials to advance sustainability, transparency, and responsible business practices.

He holds a Master of Science in global governance and diplomacy from the University of Oxford (Queen Elizabeth House Scholar) and a Bachelor of Arts in political science, summa cum laude, from Florida Gulf Coast University.
