The center will consider supporting projects and programs that align with programmatic focus areas including:

  1. Strengthening cities and leaders
  2. Developing future generations of city leaders and interest in city leadership
  3. Advancing the field of city leadership through sharing research about and experiences of city leaders.

Before submitting a funding application, please read about the Bloomberg Center for Cities at Harvard University, its mission, its programs and activities, and its impact.

Applicants may request up to $2,500 in funding per academic year.

Applications for funding open once per semester. Applications for fall 2024 are now closed. Applications for spring 2025 will be open January 617, 2025.

Applicants will be notified two weeks after the application deadline if the funding request has been approved.
