About

Max is a Ph.D. candidate in public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, working at the intersection of economics, psychology, and political science. He is interested in evidence adoption in the public sector and the role of narratives in shaping economic and political beliefs. He also works on questions related to affective polarization.

Max holds a Bachelor of Science in philosophy, politics and economics from University College London and a Master of Behavioral and Decision Science from the University of Pennsylvania. Before starting his Ph.D., he worked as a behavioral economist at the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, where he ran experiments on financial decision-making.
